Football team take on CRC Primary in the 1st round of the Swansea Schools Cup!

On Tuesday 9th February, Mr. Hodder will be taking his football team to play CRC Primary School in Morriston, in the 1st round of the Swansea Schools Cup! 

Christmas Concerts @ St. Helen's

On Tuesday 15th December (1.30pm) and Wednesday 16th December (5.30pm), St. Helen's Primary will be holding their Christmas Concert.  The Infants and Juniors are doing different performances this year and more information about the concerts will follow.  Your support is required on BOTH nights and is greatly appreciated.

Swansea College Panto

On Wednesday 9th December, the whole school will be going to Llwyn-y-Bryn to watch Swansea College's Christmas Pantomime.  Pupils need to pay £1 for this trip. 

School aims for ICT excellence by gaining ICT Mark Award

On Wednesday 9th December, Bernie Henderson (ICT Mark Assessor) will be visiting the school to assess whether St. Helen's' ICT teaching and learning matches the Becta ICT Mark Award criteria.

Football team to play in termly Dylan Thomas Tournament!

On Thursday 15th October, Mr. Hodder will be taking his girl's football squad to play in the Dylan Thomas 5 a-side football tournament.  It will be the first time the girls will have played in such a tournament. 

Sports Day @ St. Helen's

On Wednesday 1st July, St. Helen's Primary will be holding its annual sports day.  The Infants will be participating in the morning and the Juniors in the afternoon.  There will be snacks for sale from the P.T.A.  Please come and enjoy the day!

Year 5 / 6 off to Oakwood Park!

On Wednesday 17th June, Year 5/6 will be travelling west to Oakwood Park.  The trip is being funded by The Rotary Club, which we are very grateful for!  Thank you very much.

Year 2/3 off the Castell Henllys!

On Wednesday 17th June, Year 2 & 3 will be going to Castell Henllys for a fantastic trip! 

Back to school for summer!

On Tuesday 21st April, St. Helen's will be open for pupils for the start of the Summer Term!  Don't forget that school starts at 8.50am and attendance and lateness is being monitored closely this term folks!

Welsh Week @ St. Helen's

On Monday 2nd March, St. Helen's Primary will be celebrating St. David's Day by having their annual Welsh Week.  Pupils will get the opportunity to particpate in various Welsh activities such as folk dancing, art and writing competitions!  It is always a fantastic week which is loved by all!

Holocaust Memorial Day

On Thursday 29th January, St. Helen's Primary School will be participating in the Holocaust Memorial Day event at The Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.  More information here.

Christmas Dinner!

On Thursday 11th December, St. Helen's Primary School will be having their Christmas Dinner!  This is a chance for everyone (including staff) to enjoy a fabulous feast of food!!  It only costs £1.70 and will be worth every penny!

P.T.A. meeting

On Wednesday 25th June, St. Helen's P.T.A. will be holding a meeting in the Infant Hall to discuss the upcoming Sports Day.  Please make every effort to attend.

Cookery Bus come to St. Helen's!

During the week beginning 16th June, St. Helen's have been chosen to receive a 'Cookery Bus' which promotes healthy eating and living suggestions to aid our Food and Fitness Policy in school.  The event will be a unique experience, as only TWO schools in Swansea have been lucky enough to get the bus to attend their area.  Each class will participate in one session throughout the week!

Year 5/6 off to Llangrannog!

On Monday 19th May, Mr. Hodder and Miss Davies will be taking a group of 20 year 5/6 children to Llangrannog.  For more information please click here.
